reading, discussion and music
Wolfgang Schnur was considered a brilliant lawyer who took on the GDR state on behalf of his clients. What nobody suspected: He was not only an opposition lawyer and a Christian - but also a Stasi informant for 25 years.
In 1990, Schnur founded the citizens' movement Democratic Awakening with the pastors Rainer Eppelmann and Friedrich Schorlemmer. He almost became the first freely elected Prime Minister of the GDR. His most powerful advocate: the then Chancellor Helmut Kohl.
The play "The Hearing" is based on the last interview with the journalist Alexander Kobylinski and his faithful statements. A piece of contemporary history that shows how dictatorship works and what it does to people.
