A man, a country, a bicycle – Hasnain Kazim on the road, searching for the German soul.

Hasnain Kazim sets out to explore his country. Using his favorite means of transport, the bicycle, he sets out to draw a current portrait of Germany. What unites people, what separates them? Kazim cycles along the Elbe, Ruhr, Rhine, Main, Neckar and Danube and leaves room for chance. He meets different people and talks to them about their lives in this country: What else are you allowed to laugh about? What is home?

The book is also a self-identification: Some people regularly deny Hasnain Kazim his Germanness. So when and how do people belong here? What is diversity? Can't you talk to everyone with kindness and affection, perhaps even reconcile them and overcome differences? A bike ride in an attempt to connect with the power of words. And to fathom the German soul.
