Children's and family event at Easter with palace director Dr. Margrit Schulze, SPSG

Some of the paintings hanging in Königs Wusterhausen Castle feature bunnies and other animals. However, the tour is less about Easter bunnies that painted and hid eggs at Easter.

The hares in Königs Wusterhausen Castle have a different meaning. Hares were synonymous with hare-footed people - cowards. In Baroque imagery, hares were called jokers.

If you make "long ears" like a hare, listen carefully and take a good look around the castle rooms, you will find out where they are and perhaps there are also chocolate Easter bunnies hidden in the castle.
