Fairy tales on the water terrace
As a reward for serving for seven years, Hans receives a large lump of gold from the master. For Hans it now means: out into the world, out into life, out into freedom. On his way, Hans makes many barter deals.

He exchanges the lump of gold for a horse, that for a cow, that for a pig, that for a goose and that for a grindstone, which he then drops into a well until in the end he has nothing left and realizes: freedom is the highest happiness.
