Wilhelmstrasse 92, once the site of the Berlin Africa Conference of 1884/85, where the exploitation of Africa and its further division among the colonial powers were negotiated, now houses the project office of "Decolonial Culture of Remembrance in the City".

The exhibition section "Remember, apologize, compensate" of the decentralized exhibition project "Decolonial - what remains?!" sheds light on the history of the conference, the African resistance and the civil society initiatives for a central place of remembrance in Berlin.

Mnyaka Sururu Mboro, co-founder of Berlin Postkolonial e.V., leads a tour of this historic site and encourages reflection on the effects of the conference and the demands for apology and compensation.

Information: Please book a ticket online in advance. Tickets cannot be sold at the meeting point on site. Weatherproof clothing is necessary as the event takes place outside. Please check the website in advance for the current status of the tour.

Meeting point: M-Str. underground station/exit at the corner of Wilhelmstrasse.
