After her first son was born in East Berlin in 1976, Gisela Höhne gave up her beloved acting career. Moritz has Down syndrome, and there is no other way to care for him in the GDR.

COLLAGE Gisela Höhne: Dann mit RambaZamba. Theater und Leben zwischen Höhen und Tiefen
In 1991 she founded the theater "RambaZamba", whose participants often live with a special "mental order", and ran it for 26 years with great success.
With humor and empathy, Höhne looks behind the scenes of the unique theater, describes the depth of the actors' emotions and how deficits become strengths. At the same time, it is a book about love and an adventurous artistic life, enriched by photographs by star photographer Sybille Bergemann.
