The Prague theater ensemble Das Thema - To téma stages Kafka one hundred years after his death in an unbiased and idiosyncratic way. Kafka has left the building - he is gone and his Prague no longer exists either.

In the labyrinth of all anniversary celebrations and clichés, the Prague ensemble asks what is left of him today. It examines the overlaps between life and work, its commercialization and the mysterious world of Kafka. Das Thema - To téma leads the audience to reflect on their own "Kafka view". Let's celebrate!

Kafka lived and wrote in a bilingual Prague. That is why this piece is bilingual throughout. The Berlin performance is a joint event of the Czech Center Berlin and the ufaFabrik Berlin.
