Gardi Hutter, alias Hanna, started out as a laundress. She worked as a secretary on stage and then as a prompter under the stage. Now, the boards of the tailor's table mean the world to her. One look through the buttonhole is enough: there's plenty of material for stories.

The seamstress cuts with her large scissors. There's no shortage of malice or misfortune. She lets the puppets dance – the tailor's dummies. Abysses open up in the sewing box. With so many spools, even fate can lose the thread. Hanna's tailor's shop also contains a wheel of fate. It revolves around the finiteness of existence and the infinity of play. In the style of clowns. Outside of time.

After 44 years of touring and over 4,000 performances in 35 countries, Gardi Hutter can be seen once again in Berlin on September 11th and 12th at the Komödie am Kurfürstendamm in the Ernst-Reuter-Saal.
