Garden highlights, trends and ideas under tall trees
he garden fair ‘Garden Dreams for Berlin and Brandenburg’ invites you to the Hoppegarten racecourse: Around 100 exhibitors present the latest trends, ideas and discoveries for your own green paradise in this park landscape with its unique flair, under tall trees and in the midst of listed racecourse buildings.
Garden lovers and nature enthusiasts will experience three days full of garden highlights, special plants, culinary events and horticultural offers. Unusual design ideas and decorations, outdoor technology and furniture, inspiration and tips for master gardeners, useful tools and the diversity of regional plant splendour take centre stage. Your own gardening dream comes true - in the garden, on the patio and on the balcony.
Garden love meets gourmet cuisine, plant consultation hour meets professional demonstrations
From the garden straight to the table: Europe's only plant doctor René Wadas and TV chef Ralf Jakumeit form a perfect team for the extraordinary cookery show ‘From the bed to the grill’. René Wadas puts together fresh ingredients from his garden. Ralf Jakumeit accepts the challenge and conjures up a first-class menu without any preparation. While they are cooking, they both provide great entertainment - and the audience learns lots of interesting facts about harvesting, increasing yields and biological protection against pests. Everyone can try the finished dishes and vote live on how they taste.
Tips for healthy plants without chemicals and natural gardening will also be covered in the plant consultation by plant doctor René Wadas. In his green doctor's bag, René Wadas has a variety of natural treatment options to combat diseases and pests. The plant doctor will also be hosting a public gardening talk with other Gartenträume experts on his green garden bench. Among other things, they will discuss the professional pruning of trees. Gardeners and landscapers will be offering their own pruning demonstrations at the trade fair.
Children and adults can learn more about native wild plants in workshops. Their importance for the entire plant and animal world is invaluable.
A departure towards garden design for the soul with plant rarities and modern technology
Equip your garden, patio and balcony with new ideas: At Gartenträume, exhibitors present innovations from their own workshops. Modern technology is used for raised beds, patio decking, robotic mowers, irrigation systems and more. Outdoor kitchens with all the extras show how well living and celebrating under the stars can be combined with fresh culinary delights. A show garden with a natural stone rock fountain, inspired by the teachings of feng shui, emphasises the importance of water in motion for the garden.
Plant breeders offer their rarities from the world of plants. These include special hosta varieties as robust shade wonders in the garden as well as award-winning kiwi berry novelties. Their fruit is full of vitamins, temptingly delicious, hardy and hardy. Seeds for flowers, vegetables, herbs and British specialities - natural, seed-resistant and freely propagated - are available in more than 1000 varieties. The rare Western Australian lily ‘Thysanotus’ with delicate fringes on the edges of the flowers is the inspiration for a 130-year-old family seed tradition.
Trellis shrubs, flowering shrubs, hedge plants, fruit trees, perennials and climate-resistant future trees: Gartenträume showcases the lush plant splendour of local producers.
