20th International Organ Summer in Berlin Cathedral
During the summer months, the famous Sauer organ of Berlin Cathedral resounds every Friday at 8 p.m., played by renowned organists from all over the world. With its 7,269 pipes distributed across 113 stops, it is controlled by the historic pneumatic console dating from 1905.
Upon entering the magnificent Preaching Church of Berlin Cathedral, one's gaze inevitably falls to the left on the impressive organ case of the large Sauer organ. It was designed and built at the same time as the cathedral was being built, making it an essential part of the church's original artistic design.
