Workshop

Forced labour and labour exploitation have occurred in various forms throughout history. During the National Socialist tyranny, around 13 million men, women and children were forced to work under inhumane conditions in the German Reich alone.

Even today, labour exploitation and forced labour occur on a large scale in some sectors in Germany and serve as the basis of their business models.

The workshop will focus on these issues and their systematic nature and sharpen the focus on unfree labour relations in their historical and current forms.

A cooperation project of Arbeit und Leben Berlin-Brandenburg, DGB/VHS e.V. and the Documentation Center for Nazi Forced Labor.
