The thirty-five Flashbacks are objects distributed throughout the entire Humboldt Forum, recalling important events and past uses as well as unusual and everyday moments in the history of the site.
The unconventional settings relocate these exhibits in surprising new contexts, thereby creating fresh perspectives and novel ways of appreciating them.
The main focus is on the East German parade ground, the Palace of the Republic and the period after it was demolished.
For example, the guidance system from Klaus Wittkugel of the Palace of the Republic will be presented.
