The Rhine-Ruhr 2025 FISU World University Games will guarantee top international sport in the heart of Berlin between 16 and 24 July.


Three of the 18 sports, namely swimming, volleyball and diving, will take place in Berlin.


A total of around 2,000 athletes from 150 nations are expected in Berlin.

As one of the largest multi-sport events in the world, you can watch the stars of tomorrow at the World University Games as they deliver spectacular performances and compete for medals in their respective sports. As the host of numerous major sporting events, Berlin is ideally suited to provide the athletes with a worthy stage.

While the swimming and diving competitions will take place in the swimming and diving hall in the Europasportpark (SSE), volleyball will be played at various venues throughout the city. The finals will take place in the Max-Schmeling-Halle, while the preliminary round matches will also be played in the Große Sporthalle Sportforum, the Ballsporthalle Köpenick and the Horst-Korber-Sportzentrum.

In total, the Rhine-Ruhr 2025 FISU World University Games will run from 16 to 27 July in the cities of Bochum, Duisburg, Essen, Hagen and Mülheim an der Ruhr in addition to Berlin. Further information can be found on the official website www.rhineruhr2025.com.
