In the new series Ausklang, you can experience the Berliner Philharmoniker in a condensed form. A single major work is featured, followed by a relaxed get-together in the foyer, including a free drink. This time the conductor is Gustavo Dudamel, famous for his dynamism and charisma.
The audience will hear Peter Tchaikovsky’s Fifth Symphony - music that is full of longing, warmth and radiance, just as it tells of man’s rebellion against his fate. This is a battle fraught with drama, interrupted by an airy waltz in the third movement.
