
On the occasion of the International Day of Francophonie, the embassies and representations of French-speaking countries and the Centre Français de Berlin warmly invite you to the Fête des Francophonies 2025. On 5 April 2025, the Centre Français de Berlin will be transformed into a vibrant platform for Francophone culture.
More than 20 representations of francophone countries will be present to provide an insight into the cultural diversity of their regions and the diversity of the francophone world. Visitors will have the opportunity to embark on an exciting journey of discovery and experience a diverse programme free of charge.
Programme highlights
- From 4 p.m.: Opening of the information and cultural booths of French-speaking countries, workshops for families.
- 4:30 p.m.: Panel discussion on the Francophone diaspora with Pascal Thibaut and Klaus-Peter Sick.
- 6 p.m.: Official opening with Berlin's governing mayor Kai Wegner.
- 18:30: Concerts with ‘La Caravane du Maghreb’ (Morocco) and ‘LANAYA’ (Burkina Faso).
- 20:00: Culinary specialities from various francophone countries.
- 9 p.m.: Party with the Berlin collective ‘Freak de l'Afrique’.
The Fête des Francophonies is an annual highlight for the French-speaking community in Berlin and a cultural highlight for anyone interested. In 2025, the event is under the patronage of Saarland, which recently received observer status in the International Organisation of Francophonie (OIF).
The event is being organised with the support of the embassies and delegations, the Franco-German Youth Office, the Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany for Cultural Affairs, Saarland and Ernst Klett Verlag. Brunnenmagazin is the media partner.
