Embedded in the social and artistic issues of our time, pianist Fidan Aghayeva Edler, together with Nina Guo and Mareike Hein, presents more than 300 pieces by 115 female composers, including 20 world premieres.

After a highly successful first 24-hour Women Composers Piano Marathon at the end of August 2024, the musical exploration of the artistic work of female composers enters its second round at St. Elisabeth Church. Together with soprano and performance artist Nina Guo, pianist Fidan Aghayeva-Edler and actress and visual artist Mareike Hein expand the spectrum of piano works performed to include the instrument of the voice.

For 24 hours, they create an echo chamber that connects contemporary piano music by women* with the performative aspects of voice and language. This includes the performative exploration of principles such as pause, melody, repetition, solo and duo, dissonance, and harmony, as well as questions of artistic perfection, authenticity and staging, solidarity, and care feminist practice in the artistic world.
