Klangwerkstatt Berlin 2024
Gerhard Scherer has been involved with Klangwerkstatt from the very beginning: as an accordionist, conductor, and teacher. He is deeply and highly successfully engaged in the education of children and young people at the music schools of Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg and Neukölln. For many decades, he has collaborated with composers to create literature for young musicians.
In his chamber music class, he brings together students of all ages and skill levels: from beginners whom he has recently started teaching to students who are about to embark on their music studies. The Feelharmonie Rheinsberg is a youth seminar orchestra that improvises together and performs works by its members. The Feelharmonie is formed each year during the Music and Vacation course at the Rheinsberg Music Academy.
With world premieres by Charlotte Seither and Tomoya Yokokawa as well as additional works by Katia Tchemberdji, Poul Rovsing Olsen, Torbjörn Lundquist, Georg Katzer and others.
