Blues, Bebop & Cooljazz
Joe Kučera and Sammy Vomáčka are long-time companions, not just musically. They played together in the former Czechoslovak Socialist Republic (ČSSR) and crossed the green border of the former "Iron Curtain" together.

Sammy Vomáčka has made a name for himself far beyond Germany's borders as a fingerpicking specialist in ragtime, folk, and blues. The Czech native later developed an interest in jazz and today plays pure, first-class jazz in the classic trio configuration, which is the ultimate challenge for a guitarist.
Vomáčka intones one jazz standard after another with an ease that simply leaves you speechless. He handles melodic lines and motifs with complete freedom, coaxing ever-new harmonic variations from them, sounding authentic from start to finish. The music breathes; it's airy, unconstrained, and free, yet still has a convincing swing; it's harmonically complex, yet never seems pretentious for a moment.
Special guest is audience favorite "Sensational Saxophone Joe" Kučera, with Vladimir Strnad on keyboards.
