This event is all about etching / intaglio printing in our outdoor studio! This traditional printmaking technique has been around for a very long time. It focuses on the use of metals, especially zinc and copper, to create delicate and/or expressive graphic works of art. Goya and Picasso are among the artists who have excelled in the use and ingenuity of this technique.
This workshop is designed for beginners and intermediates and will give you a quick overview of line etching. You will learn how to prepare a zinc plate, create a design suitable for etching and gain your first experience of printing.
No previous knowledge is required :-)
