THE ELLIPSES meets friends

The transmedia collaboration between JD Zazie & Claudia Schmitz results in real-time performances that transcend the traditional boundaries of artistic disciplines. In a crossover of transmedial gestures, of regular and unhinged rotations, clear and broken narratives with gaps, in sound and moving image, the artists ask questions about freedom of communication, cultures of conversation, and the meaningfulness of media boundaries.


In times of severe restrictions in the cultural budget and in times of global political unrest, THE ELLIPSES and their invited guests Swantje Lichtenstein and Mat Pogo examine the increasing loss of democratic values such as freedom of expression, freedom of art and culture, appreciation of those who think differently and diversity of opinion.
