The exhibition with these very different artists from Germany, New Zealand, Great Britain and WHYIXD from Taiwan, explores the tension between future resonances and the awareness of the present, creating a sense of immediacy and relevance. "Yes, Today!" is driven by enthusiasm and urgency, inviting viewers to actively engage with themes of memory, imagination, and the ever-evolving landscape of technology and media.
The ambiguity of the title encourages visitors to harness the potential of the present, understand the past, and contemplate the visions of tomorrow.
The BBA Gallery Berlin has selected four pioneering artists and one collective from its own pool for this exhibition. These are artists who delve into the themes of memory and imagination.
The central question they address is how memory and imagination can evolve in a complex landscape shaped by art, technology, and media, and how they are intertwined.
