Classical Spanish and South American music
Duo Alabastro takes the listener into the colourful and folkloristic world of South American and Southern European music of the 20th century.
Arrangements and original compositions for violin and guitar will be performed. In addition to South American compositions by Astor Piazzolla, Maximo Pujol and Celso Machado, works by European composers such as Joaquin Rodrigo, Manuel de Falla and Bela Bartòk will be performed.
Duo Alabastro's transparent harmony unfolds an atmospheric and emotional density that has delighted concert audiences for more than 18 years.
Ulrike Dinter (violin), completed her violin studies in Germany and Austria. She graduated from the Staatliche Musikhochschule Detmold and then focussed on jazz and world music. Since 2006 she has been playing Tango Argentino in various Berlin ensembles and has participated in various CD productions, including ‘Historias’ (Duo Danzarín) ‘Tango y nada mas’ (Muzet Royal) ‘Arrabal in exilio’ (with Peter Reil, Fernando Miceli and others).
