For years, the American actor Joe Keery has been known primarily for his role as Steve Harrington in the hit Netflix series Stranger Things. But his musical talent also put him in the spotlight - especially thanks to his song "End of Beginning", which he released under his stage name Djo.

In the track, Joe Keery sings about his deep connection to Chicago, and the line "And when I'm back in Chicago, I feel it" went viral on TikTok. Although the song was released on the album Decide in 2022, it gave it its well-deserved breakthrough - it has now recorded over a billion streams. With nostalgic sounds reminiscent of the music of the 80s, Djo offers a refreshing alternative in the often formulaic pop genre.
Now the artist is following up: his second album "The Crux" will be released in 2024, and the first single "Basic Being Basic" already provides an exciting foretaste. Musically, Djo is taking a new direction - instead of broad guitar pop, he is focusing more on synth pop, combined with his effortless falsetto singing and influences from Talking Heads or LCD Soundsystem.
With the album release, Djo is also going on an extensive tour - including a stop in Berlin.
