Literary Winter Reading with Music
In January, when winter begins, things get cozy in the Mark Twain Library. There, participants in the "Writing Lively" writing workshop read short texts that were written over the course of 2024.
The pianist Uli Birringer provides musical company. In the texts, the writers remember special events, sometimes in the form of stories, sometimes reflectively or in the form of a poem.
The texts are as diverse as the people who read them. The topics revolve around life in the neighborhood, colors, movement or change, for example.
