The dance performance DIVAS explores the cult of the diva and presents young perspectives on this celebrated figure. With a cast of seven dancers aged 8-15, they create choreographies of admiration, soaring, success, and the complexity of each diva's personality.

Surrounded by flashing lights, the divas explore their talents and idiosyncrasies, revealing facets of themselves that aren't usually given much exposure. They show the audience what being a diva means to them and speak of their passions, their loneliness, and the importance of their audience.

DIVAS combines elements of street dance, K-pop, and contemporary dance with lip-sync and acting.

The project is a collaboration with the girls' center Szenenwechsel in Neukölln and is aimed at audiences of all ages.
