Now more than 30 years have passed since Dire Straits disbanded, and they left behind a catalog of some of the best compositions and musical performances that the heyday of rock ever produced. If anything, their reputation has only grown with time.
Record sales of more than 120 million albums continue to rise as new and young fans continue to rediscover the music and join the band's huge worldwide following, as evidenced by their induction into the Rock'n'Roll Hall of Fame in 2018.
Over the past ten years, former Dire Straits member Chris White and singer and guitarist Terence Reis have carried the torch with The Dire Straits Experience. During this time, they have played sold-out shows at the legendary Olympia in Paris and many other venues in France.
In 2022 they played in front of 25,000 people in Faro, Portugal and also in many other places like the Netherlands, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and even a sold out show with 5,000 fans in Maputo, Mozambique. The band's audience and reputation have grown beyond all expectations and the band is known and loved worldwide for their incomparable and compelling concerts.
