A humming sound, three trumpet notes in outer space and ‘an illusion for mixed choir’. That sums up the evening's programme: Lili Boulanger's setting of Psalm 24, Johannes Brahms' “Schicksalslied”, the symphonic poem by Richard Strauss inspired by Nietzsche's writing “Also sprach Zarathustra” and Arnold Schönberg's choral work “Friede auf Erden”.
