Photo exhibition in the shop gallery of the Berliner Stadtmission

For 18 years, the Friedrichshagen photo project has been dedicated to examining photographic perspectives. In discussions and thematic works, the group approached the central question: What makes a good picture and how can stories be told visually? The diversity of approaches and the creative exchange within the group were a constant source of inspiration.

In their last exhibition, they take up the question - freely adapted from Rio Reiser - of what remains of the dream of the Cuban Revolution: of its spiritual fathers, the self-proclaimed "protectors" and the former "people's ownership of the means of production" - an image that is reminiscent of a bargain table full of ideological remnants. What hopes and longings the inhabitants of a Romanian village harbor, however, remains a guess.

Understood literally, the theme refers to cemeteries with their silent witnesses marked by time. But it can also be viewed with a wink - as a humorous invitation to develop new dreams. Because that is what people need again and again.
