History, present and future of the environmental newspaper
RABE RALF has been fluttering through Berlin and Germany for over 30 years. The voluntary free newspaper has its origins in the environmental movement in the GDR. The Raven is published by the Green League Berlin. From Prenzlauer Berg, it squawks its news, articles and cheekiness out into the world.
Under the motto “Showing the bird”, a traveling exhibition now provides insights into its nest: whether climate crisis, traffic turnaround, agriculture, alternative culture or urban nature - the RABE RALF focuses with great continuity on topics that are highly topical yesterday and today and illuminates perspectives that are often overlooked. Now the bird is being shown.
Here you can find out everything about the history, present and practice of the environmental newspaper. How do you do independent environmental journalism? What are farmers really protesting against? What do punk and black metal have to do with environmental protection? Why are foxes running in front of our feet in Berlin? These are just some of the questions.
Colorful supporting program
The exhibition will be accompanied by a colorful program until September. Examples of the topics: Find out how a garbage dump on the death strip was turned into a valuable biotope. Or discuss the topic “From revolution to the defensive? The environmental movement in East Germany yesterday and today”.
