YOU DON'T TALK ABOUT THIS

In a carefully updated version of Rote Grütze's theater classic, the production focuses on girls and boys, on loving and having fun, on feelings of shame and the understanding of how children are created and born. Psst, we don't normally talk about that! Or is it? Director Göksen Güntel promises an extremely lively, musical and humorous performance that also illustrates the meaning of "no" when you don't like something or when you have to show others your limits.

The topic of education is more important than ever these days, as many families talk about it less and less. What is important about the human body? Why do girls have vaginas? Why do boys have scrotums behind their penis? Why do people kiss? Is it embarrassing to see someone else's genital area? All of these questions are extremely fascinating to children - and for many adults they are not always easy to answer.

With her production, Göksen Güntel shows that all difficulties can be overcome with a smile. Together with her musical director Carsten Klatte, she further develops the theme of the Enlightenment and transforms it into a joyful journey of discovery of universal significance. Because examining your own body shows in a wonderful way that we are all equal despite religious, ethnic or political differences.
