The gigantic corporations Always and Never are fighting for a monopoly on the market and for the invention of the next innovative feminine hygiene product. The CEOs Franka and Bettina want to buy up each other's companies and get at each other's throats. Their children vie for the inheritance and the affection of their mothers, while their confidants, advisors and interns sense their own career opportunities.

Complex intrigues and affairs unfold, as do unexpected alliances. Inspired by pop culture references such as the films The Favourite, The Devil Wears Prada or the series Succession, the playwright Svenja Viola Bungarten examines variations of power and solidarity among women.

  • What are the costs of success?
  • In what ways do women contribute to the patriarchy?
  • What does power do to feminism, and what power does feminism need?

The text will be brought to the stage under the direction of Anita Vulesica, who has already dealt with the complex issues of work and wages in a profound and at the same time crazy way with her production of Georges Perec's The Salary Raise at the Deutsches Theater in the 2023/24 season.
