SYREN Modern Dance, New York
Hailing from New York City, SYREN Modern Dance is thrilled to partner with the Bach Society Houston and St. Marienkirche Berlin to perform its production "The Art of Fugue" in Berlin on October 17 and 18, 2024.
SYREN's "The Art of Fugue," set to the composition of the same name by J.S. Bach, was created specifically for organ-equipped spaces. As such, it combines the physicality of modern dance with the spirituality of those spaces and the splendor of Bach's fugues.
Once called "the most sensual Bach experience ever" in Arts & Culture TX, SYREN's "The Art of Fugue" is a powerful synesthetic experience. The dance aims to explore themes and definitions of beauty and the ongoing human search for its existence.
