A guided tour of the "BerlinZEIT" exhibition with curator Gernot Schaulinski commemorates the end of World War II.
In mid-April 1945, Soviet and Polish troops marched into the Battle of Berlin. This was the center of power of the National Socialist dictatorship, with Adolf Hitler's Reich Chancellery, the ministries, the prosecution authorities, and the military command centers. Just a few days after the city's conquest, World War II in Europe ended on May 8, 1945.
To mark the 80th anniversary of this event, curator Gernot Schaulinski will guide you through the permanent exhibition "BerlinZEIT." Learn more about the prehistory of the dictatorship, Berlin's path to war, and life and survival in ruins. What of this is still visible today?
After the tour, you can explore the exhibition further. Along two floors of the Ephraim-Palais Museum, you'll journey through the centuries, exploring key periods and highlighting the years.
