Cemile Sahin and Tonio Schachinger
Crossroads#2 brings together multimedia artist Cemile Sahin and author Tonio Schachinger for a conversation on the intersections of visual art and literature. Sahin’s work moves across film, photography, sculpture, and text. Her latest film ROAD RUNNER combines pop culture and video game aesthetics to address the topic of drone usage.

Schachinger’s novel Echtzeitalter (winner Deutscher Buchpreis 2023) takes place at a boarding school in Vienna, where the teenager Till struggles to fit in whilst being an online superstar in the game Age of Empires 2.
The talk is moderated by Janika Gelinek (Literaturhaus Berlin) and Mathilda Legemah (Hamburger Bahnhof - Nationalgalerie der Gegenwart).
