Empire dance workshop

On this day, those who are interested can go back to the time of Queen Luise, who was a passionate dancer, in terms of dancing and fashion.

In the morning and afternoon in the modern hall building of the castle, convivial group and street dances such as quadrilles, anglaisen and ecossaisen from around 1800 are danced during a dance workshop.

After a coffee break, the participants can look forward to a guided tour of the castle. Everyone is invited to wear matching late 18th or early 19th century clothing throughout the day. If you don't have your own costume, you might find what you are looking for at the Paretz Foundation's historical costume rental service.

Dance experience is useful for the workshop, but it can also serve as an introduction to historical dance. A partner is not required for registration!

Birte Hoffmann-Cabenda is a certified dance instructor and has been involved with historical dances for many years. She regularly offers workshops and works as a dance master at historical balls from various eras.
