For the first time, the Deutsche Oper Berlin is offering a regular dance course suitable for people with multiple sclerosis or Parkinson's disease. Accompaniment by a partner is possible.
As an art form, dance addresses both the body and mind and offers a wonderful opportunity to connect with oneself, strengthen the body, and gain psychological and psychosocial benefits.
The course combines gentle movements with creative dance techniques tailored to the needs of the participants. With years of experience, dance teacher and coach Soraya Bruno, together with a team of qualified educators, will guide participants to discover themselves through dance and movement in a creative atmosphere.
The team offers individual support to promote coordination, flexibility, and body awareness through various dance exercises. Each session ends with a relaxed and open exchange among participants.
The course takes place three times a month on Sundays in the studios of the Staatsballett Berlin at the Deutsche Oper and is wheelchair accessible. The course is free of charge for participants, but registration is required.
