Staged Reading

In five staged readings, directors, playwrights and activists from Belarus, Ukraine, Russia and Germany tell the stories of those who risk everything for freedom and peace.

Activists, journalists and everyday heroes who fight steadfastly against tyranny and war. Their stories are raw, urgent and deeply human.

By Mikita Ilyinchik, Electra Liberte, Amalia Riznich, Iryna Serebriakova & Raban Witt

Directed by Dor Aloni, Kristina Liulchenko, Masha Sapizhak & Julia Shevchuk

This project is a collaboration between the German Marshall Fund of the United States, the Maxim Gorki Theater in Berlin and the Theater Arts and Acting program at the European Humanities University, with the support of the Federal Foreign Office.
