Jaspar Libuda plays a five-string double bass with a high C string that was specially built for him in Germany. Jaspar Libuda makes the huge string instrument sing. Plucked and bowed, from the lowest to the highest notes, it creates timbres reminiscent of the cello, Arabic lute or electric guitar.
