The versatility of the trumpet in combination with the Dinse organ can be experienced again this year in a concert.
Trumpeter Sören Linke spans the broad spectrum from the Baroque to the 20th century, coaxing the full range of expressive possibilities from his instrument.
Works by G.F. Handel (Suite in D major/Entry of the Queen of Sheba), G.P. Telemann (Concerto in D major), and J.G. Ropartz (Andante et Allegro) will be heard, among others.
Sören Linke was born in Potsdam. He began playing the trumpet at the age of 10. He graduated from the Hanns Eisler Academy of Music in Berlin. In 1993, he became a member of the Konzerthausorchester Berlin and has been its principal trumpet player since 2007.
He is a co-founder of "Konzerthausbrass Berlin" and also works as a lecturer at the Carl-Phillip-Emanuel Bach Music High School in Berlin.
Josefine Horn accompanies him on the Dinse organ. She is a church musician in Niederschönhausen-Nordend and regularly performs as an organist in various chamber music ensembles and in performances of contemporary compositions.
Admission is free, donations welcome.
