Circa Waves 2025 with new album on tour in Germany
At the end of January 2025, old and new fans can expect a special highlight: the release of the sixth studio album "Death & Love Pt.". In addition to their releases, Circa Waves have always thrilled their fans as a great live band.
Whether at legendary festivals or their own headline shows - for over a decade they have been proving how much fun indie rock can be.
Circa Waves are celebrating the release of their new album with their biggest European tour to date, including an exclusive show in Berlin in February.
Their five albums and three EPs in eleven years show their passion for music. The indie rock band first attracted attention in their home country of Great Britain in 2013 when they released their first singles and played several small tours.
After lead singer Kieran Shudall initially wrote and recorded songs on his own, he met his future band members Joe Falconer (guitar), Sam Rourke (bass) and Sian Plummer (drums) at a festival in his hometown of Liverpool.
The collaboration worked right from the start. They were soon able to show off their talent as an energetic live band at support shows for The 1975 and The Libertines. In 2015 they released their debut album »Young Chasers«, which often drew comparisons with bands like The Strokes or Arctic Monkeys.
After Sian Plummer left, they quickly found a new drummer in Colin Jones, and the band showed a more thoughtful side on their second album »Different Creatures« in 2017.
»What's It Like Over There?«, released in 2019, was critically acclaimed for its mix of indie and pop rock and, like its predecessors, reached the top 15 of the UK album charts.
At the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic, the double album »Sad Happy« was released - the first part »Happy« was released in January 2020, followed by »Sad« in March. In early 2023, the band then released »Never Going Under«, on which singer Kieran Shudall dealt with climate change and other challenges of this time.
