For 40 years, the famous men's choir, under the direction of Petya Houdyakov, has toured the world, bringing the rich tradition of Eastern European music to the stage. During the Christmas season, the Bolshoi Don Cossacks return to Berlin and present a program of sacred chants as well as Cossack, Russian, and Ukrainian folk songs.

Bolshoi Don Cossacks – Festive Choral Sounds for the Christmas Season
The trained opera singers impress with a vocal range from the softest pianissimo to the powerful forte, and use their talent with great emotion. In addition to classics such as "Evening Bell," "Volga-Volga," and "Red Saffron," traditional Christmas melodies will also be heard – and with a bit of luck, even an operatic aria.
Accompanied by the balalaika and the harmonica "Aleksandra," a unique sound experience is created that perfectly captures the festive atmosphere.
