East London's Boy Bleach are back with their new single 'England', a sharp critique of their homeland's mediocrity, out now on Nettwerk. The lyrics capture the apathy and pessimism of many and offer a wry take on a life caught up in the mundane.
The members come from diverse backgrounds: social workers, a Portuguese immigrant and Welsh lads with Cockney blood. They are talented musicians and their British-influenced alternative rock/punk sound is as diverse as their musical idols - from Depeche Mode, Garbage, Blur, The Clash and Pistols to Kano and Gorillaz.
With a natural flair for dark anthems, they manage to be both funny and brutally direct.
