At the free creative event on “Sunday in the Nikolaiviertel” in the Knoblauchhaus Museum, young and old can create the look of a bygone era.

If you left the house in the Biedermeier period, you never left without a shirt or hat. This also applied to the Knoblauch family, who once lived in the Berlin townhouse named after them. Special women’s hats such as the “Schute” or men’s collars such as the “Paternmorder” were a must for the fashionable look of the Biedermeier period.

On “Sunday in the Nikolaiviertel”, everyone is invited to create barges, top hats and other accessories from that era in the children’s salon of the Knoblauchhaus Museum. Equipped with these, anyone who wants to can stroll through the streets of the Nikolaiviertel like the Knoblauch family did two hundred years ago.
