Severin von Eckardstein last thrilled the audience at the Berlin Piano Festival in 2024. He is no longer just an insider tip, but is one of the internationally acclaimed pianists. With his extraordinary technique and interpretative depth, he has earned a firm place among Germany's outstanding piano artists.
Visitors to this concert can look forward to a stormy and carefully thought-out evening - in the tradition of this artist. As a passionate Medtner interpreter, Eckardstein concludes the program with his most demanding sonata, which is based on the lyrical motto of the Russian poet Fëdor Tjutčev: "What are you howling about, wind of the night?". This brings him full circle to Beethoven's "Storm" sonata, which in turn was inspired by Shakespeare's "The Tempest".
