This year, Boris Giltburg will make his eagerly awaited debut at the Berlin Piano Festival. The Moscow-born Israeli pianist is celebrated worldwide for his highly sensitive and captivating interpretation and is one of the most sought-after artists on the international piano scene. As "Artist in Residence" he will tour this year with the Dresden Philharmonic, among others.

Boris Giltburg's work in recent years has been particularly dedicated to Beethoven, Ravel and Rachmaninoff, and he has established himself as one of the leading interpreters of Rachmaninoff's piano works. At the Berlin Piano Festival, he will present a selection of Rachmaninoff's Preludes and close the evening with the monumental 2nd Sonata.
