A must for getting in the mood for the holidays: the annual Christmas concert of the Berlin Radio Choir. This year, the Berlin Radio Choir is devoting itself exclusively to the composer Anton Bruckner and will be performing some of his popular motets for a cappella choir in the powerful acoustics of the Berlin Cathedral. And because a bit of brass is a must at Christmas, the audience can be particularly pleased that a trombone quartet will also be taking part.
PROGRAM (subject to change):
- Anton Bruckner: »Virga Jesse« WAB 52 for choir a cappella
- Anton Bruckner: “Ave Maria” WAB 6 for seven-part choir a cappella
- Anton Bruckner: »Os justi« WAB 30.2 - motet for eight-part choir a cappella
- Anton Bruckner: »Inveni David« WAB 19 - motet for male choir and four trombones
- Anton Bruckner: Zwei Aequale WAB 114 and 149 for three trombones
