A participatory composition workshop at Ernst-Reuter-Platz with Susie Ibarra, Jake Landau, and Carsten Cremer.

From a climatic perspective, Ernst-Reuter-Platz no longer seems up to date. But what criteria would be important for a redesign, and how could the needs of all living organisms there - such as insects and birds - be taken into account?

Between a car-oriented traffic hub and green space, participants will immerse themselves in the soundscapes of the square. Together with composer Susie Ibarra, sound artist Jake Landau, and cultural scholar Carsten Cremer, they will reimagine the space.

Inspired by Ibarra’s compositional techniques and a soundscape specially created for the workshop, participants will develop a utopia—expressed through notation or drawing.
