From Bach to Gospels - Charity concert in the Grunewaldkirche Berlin

Once a year, Exultate expands its choir and becomes a ‘festival choir’, which performs important works for voice and instruments with its orchestra.

The German Requiem by Johannes Brahms, The Seven Last Words of Christ by Théodore Dubois, Mozart's Requiem and his Great Mass in C minor, Francis Poulenc's Gloria, and Bach's Mass in B minor, St Matthew Passion, St John Passion and Magnificat have already been performed in this way.


There is a particularly close collaboration with the composer Paul Mealor, whose Stabat Mater , oratorio Crucifuxus and his Symphony No. 1 - Passiontide were performed.


About the Hospiz- und PalliativVerband Berlin e.V.

The Hospiz- und PalliativVerband Berlin e.V. was founded in 1999 to represent the interests of the hospice movement in Berlin. It is responsible for promoting the hospice concept and supporting hospice and palliative care. Voluntary work is an essential core element of this. The association campaigns for the development and improvement of care structures for seriously ill and dying people in public, in politics and in specialised bodies.

The association works on a non-denominational basis and is politically independent. Its work is based on the guiding principles of the German Hospice and Palliative Association. At the centre of hospice and palliative work is the comprehensive care and support of seriously ill and dying people in accordance with their physical, mental, emotional, spiritual and social needs. This support includes relatives, friends and mourners. The dignity of these people and their right to self-determination are the yardstick for this. The understanding of solidarity-based hospice care excludes killing on demand and assisted suicide.
