Premiere in Berlin

The critically acclaimed flamenco show “Authentic Flamenco”, a collaboration between the Teatro Real (Royal Opera of Madrid), Fever and SO-LA-NA, will be performed for the first time in Berlin as part of a new world tour.

After the great success of the last international tour of the spectacle Authentic Flamenco, the Teatro Real - Royal Opera of Madrid, one of the most prestigious artistic and cultural institutions in Europe, and Fever, the leading platform for the discovery of live entertainment, are collaborating again to present a third international tour.

For the first time, Authentic Flamenco will also come to Germany, performing in Berlin this fall.

During the 60-minute show, produced by SO-LA-NA Entertainment, the audience will be immersed in the pure passion and emotion of flamenco. This year Authentic Flamenco presents the award-winning Spanish dancers Amador Rojas and Nazaret Reyes, the singers José Aser and Juan Carrasco (Juañarito) as well as the musicians Rubén Campos on guitar and Felipe Maya on percussion.

This captivating event, which highlights the rich heritage of flamenco, is in line with Fever's main mission: to democratize access to culture and make it available to a wide audience. The tour will visit more than 52 cities throughout the year, from North America to Asia and Europe.

About the Teatro Real - The Royal Opera of Madrid:
The Teatro Real - The Royal Opera of Madrid is considered one of the most important cultural institutions in Spain and was founded over 200 years ago by King Ferdinand VII. In 1990, the theater was closed for an extensive technical and architectural renovation that transformed it into a modern performing arts building with state-of-the-art stage technology. In 1997, it was reopened at a grand ceremony by the King and Queen of Spain and the President. Since then, it has become one of the most important opera houses in Europe, not only for its excellent artistic programming and the quality of its chorus and orchestra, but also for its collaboration with other Spanish cultural institutions.

The Teatro Real's ambitious educational projects have led to a remarkable increase in young audiences. In recent years, the Teatro Real has also developed an enriching dialog with different musical genres. With “Authentic Flamenco”, the Teatro Real is now actively engaged in the democratization of flamenco and offers a regular season of performances in its “Tablao” in the ballroom. In May 2021, the Teatro Real was named the best opera company in the world at the International Opera Awards.
