Including architecture tour, starting from the tactile model
Do you know the New National Gallery? What makes the museum an architectural icon? How does it feel to sit in a Barcelona chair? The inclusive tour focuses entirely on the special, listed museum architecture. It is designed for people with and without visual impairments, with and without restrictions.
The new tactile model serves as a starting point for literally "grasping" Mies van der Rohe's building in a tactile and interactive way. The model makes the essential features of the museum hall tangible: the flowing transition from outside to inside through the glass facade and the mixture of simplicity, clarity and high-quality materiality. The basement and - depending on the season - the sculpture garden are also explored together with offers to touch and requests for a sharpened perception.
